Destination Wednesdays - #1 Lake Colchuck

Welcome to our new mini series, *Destination Wednesdays* where we share a suggestion of somewhere that we loved to help you get through the week and explore new places you maybe haven’t heard of!

1/If you’re ever near Leavenworth, WA we recommend hiking Lake Colchuck. This 9 mile round trip hike (or you can thru hike it) takes you to a pristine blue lake nestled in The Enchantments within the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. Along the way, you travel through several different kinds of terrain and views which helps keep the hike fresh.

There are several waterfalls, forested areas, an open boulder field, and plenty of rocks to hang out on. The jagged peaks are captivating and reflect off of the clear water. Plenty of spots to eat lunch with a view, and worth every minute of the hike.

Be smart, bring bear spray, bug spray, a sense of adventure, and maybe your favorite OAL hat 😉
